Privacy Policy for The Moon sees my Soul: how I will and will not use your data.
This statement (Privacy Policy) explains how The Moon Sees My Soul (I) handle and use the data I have collected in regards to the people on my mailing list (you). I keep data to keep in touch with you and to keep you informed of my activities, offers and information I believe you would be interested in.

How do I collect information from you? I obtain information about you when you provide it – when you sign up to my mailing list, when you book an appointment, during an appointment, and if you contact me for any other business related reason.
What type of information do I collect from you? The personal information I collect from you when you sign up to my mailing list includes your name and email address. The personal information I collect from you when you book an appointment includes your name, email address, home address, telephone number and any other information you think I should know before your appointment. The information I collect from you during an appointment will include a brief medical history (optional and down to personal preference) and anything else you wish to share with me. A small amount of information can be collected via social media (e.g. your name and the fact that you have social media accounts) but following The Moon sees my Soul is an opt-in activity.
How is your information used?
I will use your contact information to: send out a sporadic newsletter, including information about my work and its objectives, and send you reminders about appointments.
I am legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil my statutory obligations (e.g. tax and accounting). I will hold your personal information on my system for (a) only for until it is relevant, or (b) until you ask me to remove it.
Who has access to your information? I do, and that is all. I will never sell, rent or share your information with a third party; unless it is the Next of Kin listed on your notes. I reserve the right to contact your Next of Kin in case of an emergency. The definition of emergency in this case is fluid, and will be decided by me.
How can you access and update your information? You can update your contact information with regards my mailing list through my mailing provider, Mailerlite, or you can ask me to do it for you. Please just ask. We will review your personal information at the start of every appointment, so there will be the opportunity to discuss anything you would like me know then. You have a right to ask for a copy of the information I hold on you. Please allow me 10 days to comply with any request.
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information? When you give me your personal information, I take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Your email address is held by an online mailing company (Mailerlite). Your personal information that is given and used at appointments is kept in a locked filing cabinet. All possible precautions have been taken to ensure the ongoing integrity of my computer.
What about links to external websites? My website contains links to websites run by other organisations. Each website will have its own privacy statement, over which I have no control and I cannot be responsible for these or the practices of other sites, even if you are accessing them using a link from my website. In addition, if you linked to my website from a third party site, I cannot be responsible for their policies or practices either.
Financial information: I do not personally collect any of your financial information. This is collected and processed by a third party. At the time of writing, this provider was still to be decided.
